 1.  Are our appeal letters/emails personalized, segmented and targeted?  Do I even know what that means?

Are your donors Giving Tuesday, Dec 3rd?

For the second year, nonprofits will be capitalizing on the countdown to the end-of-the-year-giving by promoting "Giving Tuesday" on December 3.  The idea is that if our donors have any cash left after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it might feel good to put that money towards, repairing the world, helping their favorite charity or doing something to make the holiday season special for someone less fortunate. Or as this punchy video  says... show that America gives as good as it gets

Even if your organization has not planned a full frontal attack to capitalize on this day with a special campaign, at the very least, you can share the video with your donors.  Send out an email, link to the video and link to your donate page.  And by all means, get it out there on your social networks.  Cyberspace will do the rest so you will have plenty of time on Dec 3rd to make phone calls to your favorite donors and encourage them to make their gift early and generous.
